University of Florida freshman quarterback Treon Harris earned the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week honor for orchestrating the Gators' offense in a commanding 34-10 victory over Vanderbilt Saturday evening.
Harris, a former Booker T. Washington High School standout from Miami, threw for a career-high 215 yards en route to the Gators' win over the Commodores. Harris rushed for a career best 49 yards and two touchdowns. He went 13-for-21 in the air and connected for six first downs, including a 48-yarder and a 60-yard toss.
Next up, the Gators make their highly anticipated return to The Swamp following a home-field hiatus dating back to mid-October to host South Carolina (4-5, 2-5 SEC) this Saturday, November 15, at 12 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on SEC Network.
