
Gator Women’s Golf Signs Two to National Letters of Intent

University of Florida women's golf head coach Emily Glaser signed a pair of talented student-athletes to National Letters of Intent on Wednesday. Madison Pacheco and Sam Wagner will join the Gators' roster for the 2015-16 season.
“We are really excited about this signing class,” Glaser said. “Sam and Madison are big pieces of the puzzle for our future and it will be great to have them join us next fall.”

- Qualified and competed in the 2014 U.S. Girls' Junior Amateur
- Finished tied for second in the 2014 Class 2A State Tournament
- Placed third at the 2013 Class 2A State Tournament
- Four top 10 finishes in AJGA tournaments
- Four-time Pensacola News Journal Girls' Golfer of the Year (2012-15)

“Madison is an exciting player for me as a coach because, since her initial interest and subsequent commitment to the Gators, she has continued to improve and get better. She is very smart on and off of the golf course and has a very good understanding of her game. Madison will be a great college golfer and we are so happy she is a Gator.”

- Named a Rolex All-American five times, including a T16 finish at the 2014 Rolex Junior Championship
- Was a 2012 Junior Ryder Cup USA team member
- Was a 2013 Junior Solheim Cup USA team member
- Member of the 2012 & 2013 Wyndham Cup East team
- Finished second at the 2012 Junior PGA Championship
- Finished fourth at the 2014 Junior PGA Championship
- Has participated in four USGA Junior Girls' Championships
- The second-youngest participant in the USGA Junior Girls' Championship at the age of 11
- Helped Windermere Prep capture the Class 1A state title in both 2010 and 2011, and then won a state championship with Circle Christian School in 2013

We expect Sam to have an immediate impact on our team and her competitive spirit and passion for the Gators will be a great addition. She has big plans for her career as a Gator and beyond. We have no doubt that Sam's drive and work ethic will allow that to happen.”
