All Three Gators Roll to Quarterfinals

Spencer Liang, Stefani Stojic and Belinda Woolcock advanced to the quarterfinals at the 2014 Lakewood Ranch Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic, presented by First Watch Cafe, at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club Tennis Center in Lakewood Ranch, Florida Friday.

“We had a nice start today,” said associate head coach Dave Balogh. “Belinda [Woolcock] took control early in both matches. Spencer [Liang] and Stefani [Stojic] had a few opponents that really made us dig deep, but they played well in several tight situations to advance to the quarterfinals tomorrow.”

The trio of sophomores advanced past the first two rounds of singles action to reach the quarterfinals. Liang meets Memphis' No. 101 Marta Morga in the quarterfinals. Stojic will face Katerina Adomovic of Oklahoma State and Woolcock will play Taylor Hollander of North Florida.
