
Four Gators Earn SEC Postseason Honors

Four Florida men's tennis players – Florent Diep, Maxx Lipman, Elliott Orkin and Gordon Watson – were each recognized by the Southeastern Conference men's tennis coaches, who announced their annual postseason awards this afternoon.
Gators senior Diep was named First Team All-SEC as sophomore Watson was voted Second Team All-SEC. Both Florida freshmen, Lipman and Orkin, made the All-Freshman team as Lipman earned dual honors with a spot on Second Team All-SEC, as well.
Season Highlights
Florent Diep – First Team All-SEC
· Led the Gators with 27 singles wins in his senior campaign
· Boasted a 13-5 record in dual match singles play with an 8‐2 record in the SEC
· Has played in the No. 2 spot for UF in nine of 12 SEC matches with a 6‐1 record at the position
· Recorded a stellar 10 singles wins over ITA-ranked opponents through the 2013‐14 season, including a win over then-No. 13 UK's Tom Jomby to conclude the SEC regular season for UF
· Earned a notable 17 wins in doubles play this season
· Ranked as high as No. 49 in singles and No. 26 in doubles ITA rankings
Maxx Lipman – Second Team All-SEC and All-Freshman Team
· Recorded 24 singles wins, second‐best on the team
· Had an 8‐2 record in SEC play ‐ the only SEC freshman to tally eight wins
· Went 8‐1 in the No. 3 spot for Florida
· Tallied a team‐high 14 wins in dual match singles play – one of just four SEC freshman with 14+ dual match singles wins
· Had five singles wins over ITA-ranked opponents
· Earned 14 wins in doubles play, with a 4‐0 record playing in the No. 3 spot
· Ranked No. 109 in ITA singles rankings this season
Elliott Orkin – All-Freshman Team
· Sports a 22‐12 singles record as a freshman, tied for the third‐most wins on the UF team
· Went 8‐5 in dual match singles play, going 4‐1 in the No. 6 spot, with a 6‐3 record in SEC play
· Had 20 wins in doubles play this season, matching second‐best on the team
· Ranked as high as No. 9 in the ITA rankings with partner Gordon Watson
· Ranked as high as No. 53 in the ITA singles rankings
Gordon Watson – Second Team All-SEC
· Tallied a team‐high 23 doubles wins in his sophomore campaign
· Ranked as high as No. 9 in the nation with doubles partner Elliott Orkin
· Tallied nine doubles wins over ITA-ranked opponents, with five of those victories over ITA top-20 doubles pairs
· Sports a 21‐13 overall singles record this year while playing in the top three spots for Florida
· Played No. 1 in all but three SEC matches this season
· Earned a notable six wins over ITA-ranked singles opponents in the 2013‐14 season
· Ranked as high as No. 53 in ITA singles rankings this season
