Patric Young Named Senior CLASS Award First-Team All-American

Florida center Patric Young has been named a Senior CLASS First-Team All-American, as announced by the organization on Thursday.
The Jacksonville, Fla., native currently boasts a 3.37 GPA as a Telecommunications major. Young has scored 1,288 points with 844 rebounds and connected on 58 percent of his field goal attempts throughout his career as a Gator. Additionally, he has been selected as the SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year the past three seasons, making him the first person to win the award three times. Young was also selected as the 2014 SEC Defensive Player of the Year and named to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-America Team and the All-SEC Second Team.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Senior CLASS Award honors the attributes of senior student-athletes in four areas: community, classroom, character and competition. The award program is designed exclusively for college seniors who are utilizing their complete athletic eligibility, remaining committed to their university and pursuing the many rewards a senior season can bring.
