Gators Stay Strong in Day Two of 2014 NCAA Central Regional
Saturday, May 10, 2014 | Women's Golf
The Florida women's golf team stayed focused in the second round of the 2014 NCAA Central Regional. Although they had a few mistakes on the green, the Gators fought back to maintain their top-3 spot on the leaderboard at 16-over (592).
For the second-straight round at Karsten Creek, Sarah Schober highlighted Florida's five. The Gator junior penciled in four birdies and shot even-par on the day. Schober remains in the top-3 individually.
At 16-over as a team, Florida is just four strokes back from top-finisher UCLA (+12). A top-8 finish and NCAA Championship berth is within reach.
Head Coach Emily Glaser Says: “We played a lot of good golf today. We had a couple of holes that cost us, but it was positive that we hung in there despite this. Tomorrow will be an exciting day and we are looking forward to it.”
