
Gators Strike Gold at NACAC U23 Championships in Kamloops, BC

KAMLOOPS, BC, Canada -- Saturday and Sunday were Gator Day at the NACAC U23 Championships in Kamloops, BC, at Hillside Stadium as four Gators garnered gold on the second and third day of the international competition in Canada.
2014 senior Eddie Lovett, representing the U.S. Virgin Islands, put up a 13.39 performance to take gold in the 110-meter hurdles, while fellow senior Ebony Eutsey put up a gold-medal performance with the Team USA women's 4x1 relay, composed of Cierra White, Katie Wise and Octavis Freeman in addition to Eutsey, finishing in 43.89.
Gator rising senior and 2014 national champion Fawn Miller tossed a winning javelin throw of 54.90m to strike gold in her specialty event and rising junior Najee Glass helped the USA men's 4x4 relay to gold on the final day of competition Sunday with his always stellar leadoff leg. Glass, Brycen Spratling, Akeem Alexander and Vernon Norwood crossed in 3:04.34 for top honors.
Florida sprinter Antwan Wright also represented the Red, White and Blue at the NACAC Championships with a fifth-place finish in the 100m dash on the opening day of competition (10.44) after going 10.32 in prelims of the event Friday.
