Four Gators to Open Fall Season at Bedford Cup

Jordan Belga (Boca Raton, Fla.), Richard Brej (Long Grove, Illinois), Chase Perez-Blanco (Miami, Fla.) and Josh Wardell (Fort Myers, Fla.) will travel to Jacksonville this weekend to open the Gators' fall season at the 2014 Bedford Cup.
The individual singles and doubles event kicks off on Friday morning at the University of North Florida Tennis Complex. Belga and Brej will make up one of UF's doubles pairings while Perez-Blanco and Wardell will round out the Gators' doubles squads.

On the members of the 2014-15 roster…
“We're really happy with what we see out of this group. We were excited about the way the season ended last year. We really built some momentum through the NCAA Tournament, and to bring in a couple of outstanding kids like Jordan Belga and Chase Perez-Blanco to go along with our returners has really added a lot to this team.”
On the first week of practice…
“Team chemistry is already very good. The work ethic that these guys are bringing to each conditioning session, to each gym session, to each individual lesson as well as team practice has been outstanding so far. We're in the early days of the season, but it's just a great sign that these guys are really absorbing information, really trying to pay attention to details and really trying to develop into all-court players.”
