
Gator Great Greg Ouellette Named Assistant Coach at University of Iowa

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Former Gator All-American Greg Ouellette has been named the University of Iowa men's tennis team's new assistant coach, Hawkeyes head coach Ross Wilson announced this morning.
The former Gator will assist the Hawkeye program with player development, practice preparation, youth camps, operational support and all aspects of recruiting.
“We are very excited for Greg to join our program,” said Hawkeye head coach Ross Wilson in a press release. “His tireless work ethic and passion for the game has led to his success at the highest level of college and professional tennis. He will make an immediate impact with our team on and off the court to help our player accomplish their goals.”
Ouellette was a five-time All-American (three times in singles, twice in doubles) from 2005-2008. The Gator Great was tabbed the SEC Freshman of the Year in 2005 and capped his four-year playing career by being named the SEC Player of the Year in 2008. After graduating from the University of Florida in 2008, Ouellette spent the past six years competing on the Association of Tennis Professional (ATP) world tour, reaching a ranking of 269.
