
Gator Women’s Tennis Signs Number One Player in the Nation Ingrid Neel

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The University of Florida women's tennis team continues to bring the nation's top student-athletes to the Ring Tennis Complex. The reigning SEC Champions got better on Thursday with the addition of Ingrid Neel, the nation's top-ranked recruit in the Class of 2015, according to tennisrecruiting.net.
Neel completed her National Letter of Intent during the fall signing period on Thursday. The newest addition to the Gator tennis family boasts a lengthy resume of success and will bring an impressive work ethic from the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. to Gainesville.

-Competes at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
-Ranked the No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2016, according to TennisRecruiting.net
-Currently ranked No. 28 by the Women's Tennis Association on the ITF Junior Circuit
-Currently ranked No. 580 in singles by the Women's Tennis Association on the ITF Pro Circuit
-Currently ranked No. 273 in doubles by the Women's Tennis Association on the ITF Pro Circuit
-Won the USTA Girls 18s National Championships in San Diego with doubles partner Alicia Black
-Reached the round of 32 at the 2015 US Open with doubles partner Alicia Black
-Reached the round of 16 in doubles at the 2015 US Open Junior Tennis Championships
-Won back-to-back doubles tournaments in March with Fanni Stollar (Orlando 10K and Gainesville 10K)
-Reached the singles semifinal round at the USTA International Spring Championships in Carson, Calif.
-Reached the singles final at the Metropolia Orange Bowl International Championships in Miami
