
No. 24 Gators Host Troy and Louisiana Friday in First Home Matches of 2026

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Florida Women's Tennis Team opens its 2026 home schedule this Friday, Feb. 13 with matches against Troy at 10 a.m. EST and Louisiana at 4 p.m. at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.
The seven-time national champion Gators are ranked 24th in the nation heading into the weekend following early-season victories over Charleston Southern and Ole Miss, and a close 4-3 loss to No. 11 N.C. State.
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released its most recent individual rankings on Feb. 4, and five different Gators are among the top 125 in the nation—Gabia Paskauskas (No. 20), Valery Gynina (No. 48), Xinyi Ning (No. 88), Nikola Daubnerova (No. 99) and Lucie Pawlak (No. 105). Daubernova and Nong are also ranked No. 22 in the country as a doubles team.
Troy is 3-1 on the season, and takes on Florida A&M Thursday before making its way to Gainesville. The Trojans' wins have come in 7-0 sweeps over Alabama A&M and Bethel, a 4-3 decision over Stetson, and 4-3 loss to North Florida. Troy went 13-10 a year ago, including 6-5 in the Sun Belt Conference.
Louisiana opened its 2026 dual match schedule with wins over Louisiana Christian and Southern, before falling to North Alabama and Tulane. The Ragin' Cajuns were 9-10 last season, with a 2-8 record in the Sun Belt.

The Gators host Auburn at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. in the team's first official SEC match of the season. Florida topped Ole Miss 4-2 on Jan. 26 as part of the ITA Kickoff Weekend, but that match is not a part of the official SEC schedule.
