GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Gators' Women's Tennis alumna McCartney Kessler is prepping for her fourth appearance at the U.S. Open, and her first round match at the 2026 iteration is slated for Sunday, August 30 at approximately 1:50 p.m ET.
Standing across the net will be 31-year-old Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, who enters the tournament as the No. 18 seed and the 19th-ranked singles player in the world.
Kessler's best result at the U.S. Open came a year ago when she advanced to the second round with a 7-5, 7-5 win over Magda Linette before falling to Markéta Vondroušová 6-7 (7-9), 2-6.
The U.S Open women's doubles draw is scheduled to be announced on Tuesday, September 1.
