
Former Gator Sekou Bangoura Takes Doubles Title at USA F34 Futures

Former University of Florida men's tennis player Sekou Bangoura won the doubles title at the USA F34 Futures with Matt Seeberger in Waco, Texas.
The former All-American and Seeberger worked through three rounds at the Future to take the title. The duo first defeated Garza and Norrie, 3-6, 6-1 (11-9) to advance to the semifinals where the pair took down Daciek and Kandath in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3. In the final round, Bangoura and Seeberger came back from a set down to reach a tiebreak to take the title, 1-6, 6-3 (10-6).
Singles action saw another finals round for Bangoura, however, the former Gator fell in the final. Bangoura used straight set victories in his first three matches to reach the semifinals and Dennis Nevolo. Nevolo took the first set in the match, but Bangoura came back in the match to advance, 3-6, 6-1, 7-6(4). The final round was another three set contest, but the former Gator fell to Henri Laaksonen, 3-6, 6-4, 1-6.
