#13 Ole Miss

Florida Falls to Ole Miss, 4-0
Sunday, March 22, 2015 | Men's Tennis
OXFORD, Miss. – Following their first 4-0 sweep of the season in a shutout victory over Arkansas, the tables turned for the No. 15 Florida Gators as the Orange and Blue suffered a 4-0 loss on the road to No. 13 Ole Miss Sunday afternoon at the Gillom Sports Center.
For the first time in three matches, Florida dropped the doubles point and started singles at a 1-0 disadvantage.
The Rebels took down the top three Gators in the singles line-up to capture the 4-0 win. With only three available indoor courts at the Gillom Sports Center, singles matches four and five were halted quickly after they began and the number six match-up was not played. Entering today's match, Florida had not lost a contest by a score of 4-0 since the Notre Dame Fighting Irish swept the Gators in an ITA National Indoors third round consolation match on Feb. 16, 2014.
Before they return to the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex, the Gators play one more on the road on Saturday, March 28 at 2 p.m. versus No. 51 Auburn in Auburn, Ala.

Quotes from the Match
Shelton's Notes – Head Coach Bryan Shelton
On today's tough road loss…
Ole Miss played very well today. It was unfortunate that our Nos. 4, 5, and 6 singles players didn't get a chance to play. We will get home and get ready for Auburn next Saturday,
Florida vs. Ole Miss:
Despite today's loss, Florida still leads the all-time series with Ole Miss, 35-23.
Big Impact Early:
Although he did not get the chance to play today, freshman Chase Perez-Blanco is making a big impact in his first year with the Florida Gators. The rookie was deservingly named SEC Freshman of the Week following his undefeated singles record last weekend. Perez-Blanco is unbeaten in SEC dual match singles and leads the Gators with a 10-1 dual singles record. He's recorded a singles point for Florida in six of his last seven outings.
