
Gators Conclude Regular Season at Tennessee Sunday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 17 Florida Gators conclude the 2015 regular season at No. 43 Tennessee on Sunday, April 12 at 1 p.m. at Barksdale Stadium in Knoxville, Tenn.
The Gators lead the all-time series with the Vols, 38-26.
UF kicked off its final road trip of the season with a 4-1 victory at Kentucky. Despite another doubles loss, the Gators rallied in singles and picked up four-straight individual wins to take the match. Diego Hidalgo, Elliott Orkin, Chase Perez-Blanco and Joshua Wardell earned the singles tallies for the Orange and Blue. Orkin and Perez-Blanco lead Florida with seven SEC singles wins apiece, while Perez-Blanco boasts the best overall dual match singles record on the squad, 12-2.
Last Time:
Last season, UF defeated UT, 4-0, in a regular-season meeting played in Gainesville.
Leading the Way:
Chase Perez-Blanco and Elliott Orkin lead UF with seven SEC singles wins apiece. Perez-Blanco has posted a singles point for UF in five of the Gators' last six wins. Orkin has helped UF to six of their last seven victories with singles wins.
Singles Game Strong:
Despite dropping the doubles point in three of their last four matches, the Gators have found a way to win three of their last four with the help of strong singles play. UF held both Auburn and Kentucky to just the doubles point in its wins against both squads.
Postseason State of Mind:
The Gators will open postseason play at the SEC Tournament on Wednesday, April 15 in College Station, Texas. Florida is 31-18 at the SEC Tournament since team play was initiated in 1990. Last season, UF made the SEC Tournament Final, but fell to Texas A&M, 4-2.
