
Gators Looking to Finish Perfect Conference Season Saturday at Connecticut

STORRS, Conn. – The No. 8 Gators will look to finish off a perfect BIG EAST regular-season schedule on Saturday when they travel to face Connecticut at George J. Sherman Family-Sports Complex at noon.
Florida (12-4, 6-0) clinched the BIG EAST regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament with its win over Cincinnati and UConn's loss to Georgetown on Wednesday night.
UConn (8-6, 3-2) enters Saturday coming off a last-second loss to Georgetown on Wednesday. Had the Huskies defeated the Hoyas, Saturday's game would have been for the BIG EAST regular-season championship.
This weekend's game will also give the Gators a preview of the playing surface for the BIG EAST Tournament. The end of the year tournament will be held at Connecticut from April 30 to May 2.
Saturday's contest between the Gators and Huskies will be the first meeting between the two schools.

- Gilroy registered two points against Cincinnati to give her 300 career points – the most of any active student-athlete
- Gilroy earned her eighth weekly BIG EAST honor this past week after being named the conference's Midfielder of the Week for a fourth-straight week
