
Brooke Austin Named to All-Tournament Team

COLUMBIA, S.C. – For her undefeated run at the No. 1 doubles and singles positions for the No. 3 Florida Gators in the 2015 SEC Tournament, freshman Brooke Austin was named to the SEC Women's Tennis All-Tournament Team on Sunday afternoon at the conclusion of the postseason event.
The rookie from Indianapolis, Ind., posted doubles and singles wins in both Florida's quarterfinal victory over No. 22 Ole Miss (9) and the Gators' semifinal loss to No. 9 Vanderbilt (4).
On Friday, Austin and doubles partner Kourtney Keegan helped the Orange and Blue to the doubles point versus the Rebels, and the freshman defeated No. 11 Julia Jones, 6-2, 6-2, at the No. 1 singles position to help lift Florida to a 4-0 victory. In Saturday's semifinal, Austin and Keegan waged a major comeback in doubles to defeat No. 25-ranked Vanderbilt duo Sydney Campbell and Courtney Colton, 8-4, after trailing, 4-1. Austin later topped Campbell, the No. 9-ranked singles player in the country, 7-5, 6-3 in singles play.
Austin leads UF with an overall dual singles record of 30-7 and completed the SEC regular season with a 10-2 mark at the top singles slot.
The Gators await their 2015 NCAA seeding and first round opponent, which will be announced during the team bracket selection show on Tuesday, April 28 at 5 p.m. on NCAA.com.
