Florida (24-9/6-6 SEC) went 1-3 last week, falling to No. 8 Florida State in Jacksonville on Tuesday night, 8-3, and dropping two of the three games with Eastern Division rival Missouri in Columbia (5-1, 1-10, 3-5)…The Gators will play their next four games at McKethan Stadium, where they are 19-3 this year…UF hosts Stetson (18-15/3-0 Atlantic Sun) on Tuesday night and then welcomes No. 13 South Carolina (21-11/6-6 SEC) to Gainesville for a weekend series…Florida is hitting .296 overall, has a 3.45 earned run average and is fielding at a .983 clip…The Gators have split their four SEC series, all by 2-1 margins, defeating Tennessee and Alabama at home but falling to Ole Miss and Missouri on the road…UF has 27 homers in 33 games, surpassing last season's total of 26 round-trippers in 63 contests…Senior third baseman Josh Tobias (.394, 24 runs, 23 RBI) went 5-for-9 (.556) on the weekend, with five RBI and four extra-base hits (two triples, homer, double), while sophomore center fielder Buddy Reed (.305, 25 RBI, 22 runs) was 5-for-11 (.455) and scored three runs in the series…The Orange and Blue did not commit any errors in the Show-Me State and has played error-free in 17 of 33 contests this spring for a 14-3 (.824) mark…Sophomore first baseman Peter Alonso returned to the lineup on Friday night after missing the first 30 games of the year with a foot injury…Other Gator starters batting over .300 on the campaign are sophomore right fielder Ryan Larson (.329, 17 runs, 15 RBI), junior left fielder Harrison Bader (.324, 33 RBI, 26 runs, eight homers) and freshman second baseman Dalton Guthrie (.319, 28 runs, 12 RBI, 11 doubles)…A five-run fifth inning powered Missouri to a series-clinching 5-3 victory on Easter Sunday…Junior right-hander Peter Fairbanks (3-3) limited the Gators to one run on two hits over five innings to pick up the win and sophomore Ryan Howard expanded the Tigers' 2-1 margin with a three-run homer during the frame…Tobias (2-for-3, two RBI) provided the Gators with 1-0 lead in the second inning with a one-out homer to right center field for his fourth dinger of the year and added an RBI triple in the ninth inning…Freshman right-hander Tanner Houck carried a shutout into the eighth inning and junior Zach Lavy belted a pair of homers as the Tigers evened the series with a 10-1 victory on Saturday afternoon…For the Gators, Tobias drove in Reedwith a double to left field in the eighth inning after Reed had started the frame with a bunt single…Behind eight strong innings from sophomore right-hander Logan Shore (5-2, 1.76) and two RBI apiece from Alonso and Tobias, Florida posted a 5-1 victory on Friday night…Shore retired the final 13 hitters he faced as the Gators used three runs in the fourth and two in the fifth to down the Tigers…Florida plated three runs on three hits in the fourth to seize a 3-1 advantage against junior right-hander Reggie McClain (4-3), three-time SEC Pitcher of the Week recipient this season…Making his 2015 debut, Alonso (2-for-4) had a one-out single into center field and Reed (2-for-4) delivered a base-hit through the right side of the infield before Tobias (2-for-3) ripped a triple on a 0-2 count into the right-field corner…Freshman JJ Schwarz then plated Tobias with an RBI grounder…The Gators expanded their lead to 5-1 in the fifth on a two-out, two-run double by Alonso…Larsonhad led off with a bunt single and stole second with one down before junior Richie Martin walked…Larson moved to third on a wild pitch and Martin stole second base before Alonso drove in both of his teammates with a two-bagger into right center field for his first RBI of the campaign…Florida captured game one of an SEC series for the first time this year…The Gators overcame a 1-0 deficit with five unanswered runs for their eighth come-from-behind victory…In his last two outings versus Missouri, Shore has yielded two runs in 17 innings and has notched 13 strikeouts.
