Friday, May 1, 2015 | Women's Golf
University of Florida women's golfer Taylor Tomlinson made an immediate impact for the Orange and Blue and was named to the 2015 SEC All-Freshman Team, the league announced Friday.
Tomlinson was the only Gator to compete in the lineup in every event during her freshman campaign, and has posted a 74.9 scoring average through 29 rounds.
Taylor Tomlinson – Season Highlights:
· Twice named the SEC Freshman Women's Golfer of the Week; after tying for 21st at the SunTrust Gator Invitational (March 6-8), and then after tying for 12th at the Briar's Creek Invitational (March 23-24).
· Ended the 2014-15 regular season with a team-high six top-25 finishes, including a personal-best sixth-place finish.
· Fired six under-par rounds this year, including a career-low 70, which she did twice.
· Placed in the top-20 at her first SEC Championship, carding a 221 (+5).
Head Coach Emily Glaser Says: “I am really happy for Taylor to have this recognition, she is certainly deserving. Her work ethic this year has been tremendous and this award is a reflection of that. Taylor was a big contributor for us this season as a freshman and I am excited for her future here at Florida.
