
Gators Get a Primetime National TV Audience for Orange Bowl Classic

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Orange Bowl Classic is moving to primetime this season. Florida and Oklahoma State are set for an 8 p.m. start with a national television audience on FOX Sports 1 on Saturday, Dec. 19.
This season marks the Gators' 17th appearance in the event, which again returns to the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla. UF is 14-2 all-time at the Orange Bowl Classic and has won five straight. Oklahoma State will be the third Big 12 team UF has faced in the Orange Bowl Classic, defeating Kansas State in 2010 and Texas A&M in 2011, the Aggies' final season before joining the Southeastern Conference.
The opener in the Orange Bowl Classic doubleheader will feature Florida State vs. Florida Atlantic at 5 p.m., televised on select FOX Sports regional networks including Fox Sports Florida.
