GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The University of Florida men's and women's swimming and diving teams are set to travel to Knoxville, Tennessee, for their final dual meet of the 2015-16 season. The Gators will swim a short-course (25-yard) pool against SEC rival Tennessee on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET.
"We've got some opportunities this week to put our swimmers in different races before we make final decisions on who will compete in each event at the SEC Championships," said UF Head Coach Gregg Troy. "We want to make sure we set ourselves up the best we can heading into the conference championships because it's going to be an extremely tight competition on both the men's and women's side."
The Scene
The University of Florida men's and women's swimming and diving teams return to the pool Saturday, January 30th, at 10 a.m. ET when they travel to Knoxville, Tennessee, for their final dual of the regular season.

Looking Ahead
The men's and women's swimming and diving teams will travel to Columbia, Missouri, from Feb. 16-20, when they compete in the Southeastern Conference Championships. The Florida men look to win their fourth consecutive title while the women hope to build off a 9thplace showing a season ago.
Scouting the Field: Tennessee
The Volunteers enter competition on Saturday with a 3-3-1 dual record on the men's side and a 4-4 mark on the women's end. The 12th-ranked men's squad currently leads the SEC in four separate events while the 13th-ranked women set the pace in two events.
We Meet Again
The Gators last met up with the Volunteers on Jan. 31, 2015, when UF swept a pair of nationally-ranked men's and women's teams at home inside the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
All-Time Series
The Gators are in control of the all-time series on both the men's and women's end. The Florida men lead the Volunteers, 22-20, while the women boast a 27-2 lead in the series.

The Florida men carry a seven-year win streak in head-to-head duals over Tennessee.

The No. 7 Gator men's and women's swimming & diving team's sent their senior swimmers off in style, as they each nabbed victories over Tennessee's No. 11 men's squad and 10th-ranked women's team in front of a full house on Jan. 31 in the Stephen C. O'Connell Center Natatorium. Florida dominated the meet winning 23-of-32 events and downing the Volunteers by scores of 198.5-99.5 (men) and 187-105 (women). Florida's women (6-2, 5-1 SEC) continued its tremendous success against Tennessee, as the Gators now hold the all-time series lead 27-2. Meanwhile, UF's men (6-1, 4-1 SEC) created a little separation from UT all-time, as the Gators now lead that battle, 22-20.

UF leads the SEC in six separate events: 50-Yard Freestyle: Dressel (18.77) 100-Yard Butterfly: Dressel (45.01) 100-Yard Backstroke: Blyzinskyj (45.43) 400 Free Relay: Dressel, Switkowski, Werner, C. Gator Men Ranked No. 3 | Women No. 9
The UF men are ranked third nationally while the Gator women come in at T-No. 9 in the most recent College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll in the 2016 season. The Florida men have a point total of 202, and join SEC members Georgia (fourth), Auburn (seventh), Alabama (11th), Tennessee (12th), Missouri (13th), LSU (22nd), and South Carolina (23). The Florida women came in at T-No. 9 this week (173 points). UF joins SEC foes Georgia (first), Texas A&M (fifth), Auburn (11th) Tennessee (13th), LSU (20th), Missouri (21st), and Alabama (23rd).

In a battle among four of the top teams in College Swimming, the fourth-ranked University of Florida men's swimming and diving team and 11th-ranked women's squad split a head-to-head dual against SEC-rival Auburn on Jan. 23, inside the Stephen C. O'Connell Center in Gainesville, Florida. The Gator women upset the 10th-ranked Tigers, 192-108, while the men came up just nine points short in a close fall to the seventh-ranked Auburn men's team, 154.5- 145.5. The Gator women tallied wins in 13-of-16 events while the men's team registered seven throughout the day. In addition to the wins, seven Gators posted U.S. Olympic Trial-qualifying times in nine separate long-course events.
Swimming to the Postseason
Sophomores Caeleb Dressel and Jan Switkowski and junior Jack Blyzinskyj have combined to register six NCAA 'A' cuts to automatically qualify for the 2016 NCAA Championships in Atlanta this postseason. Natalie Hinds has also qualified in one event on the women's end. In addition 13 men and 12 women from the University of Florida swim team have combined for 75 NCAA 'B' cut times throughout the 2015-16 season.
Diving to the Postseason
Four women and three men have combined for 18 NCAA diving provisional standards throughout the 2015-16 season.
A Special Year
The Gators' swim teams won't only be looking to make a run at the 2016 NCAA Championships this season. Rather, they'll have the opportunity to make Olympic trial-qualifying standards with the 2016 Summer Games approaching -- in addition to their NCAA 'A' and 'B' cut standard times. To this point in the 2016 season, 13 American Gators have already met U.S. Olympic Time Trial-qualifying standards in their respective events (Complete Chart on pg. 10)
Hinds Tabbed SEC Swimmer of the Week
Senior Natalie Hinds was named the SEC Swimmer of the Week following a four-win performance in UF's 192-108 win over the No. 10 Auburn Tigers on Jan. 23. Hinds, a Midland, Texas, native, swam to a first-place finish in the 50-Meter freestyle after clocking a U.S. Olympic Trial-qualifying time of 26.10. The American sprinter added top finishes in the 100-Meter freestyle (57.03), 100-Meter butterfly (1:02.06) and 400-Meter freestyle relay (3:54.03).
