
Gators to Visit North Florida in NIT Action

Florida will travel to Jacksonville to take on UNF.
Florida will take on North Florida in the opening round of the National Invitation Tournament, visiting the Ospreys on Tuesday at 9 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPNU. Despite being the No. 2 seed and UNF the No. 7 seed, the Gators will travel to UNF Arena due to the ongoing O'Connell Center renovations.

The Gators are back in the NIT for the first time since 2009 and for the 10th time in program history. Florida's best finish in the event has been three semifinals appearances (1986, '92, 2008).
Florida holds a 4-0 record all-time vs. the Ospreys, but all prior meetings have been in Gainesville. The Gators enter the NIT with a 19-14 record, looking to reach 20 wins for the 17th time in the past 18 seasons. UNF holds a 22-11 record and won the Atlantic Sun regular season title with a 10-4 conference record.
