The 12-1 Gators sit tied with UConn atop the 2016 BIG EAST standings and have just four more regular-season games remaining before the conference tournament begins in DC May 5-7. Florida, ranked No. 1 in the first RPI of the season released Tuesday, will welcome 4-8 Marquette (1-1 BIG EAST) to the Diz Wednesday for a mid-week league tilt at 2 p.m. for just the second meeting between the Gators and Golden Eagles after UF entered the league last year.

PROMOTIONS VS MARQUETTE
The Orange and Blue will enter Wednesday's clash riding momentum from a great weekend at Georgetown that resulted in senior middie
Nicole Graziano picking up her fifth BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week accolade and freshman
Haley Hicklen earning her first career conference Freshman of the Week honor after coming off the bench for a career high six saves.
Â
Florida is one win shy of tying the best start in program history (13-1 in 2013) and the Gators enter Wednesday's game against Marquette ranked 11th in the nation in scoring margin (5.15), 15th in scoring offense (12.92), 16th in save percentage (.492) and 19th in scoring defense (7.77). UF checks in 18th in the NCAA in points per game (18.38), 21st in assists (5.46), 24th in GB (18.54) and 52nd in CT per game (8.31).
Â
Last time out at Georgetown Saturday,
all 29 available Gator players saw time on the field in UF's 14-7 win against the Hoyas, powered by four goals each from Graziano and sophomore attack
Shayna Pirreca.
Â
UF won last year's Gators-Golden Eagles match-up in Milwaukee 16-5 and will face MU for the first time at home. Marquette has faced four ranked foes in 2016 and is 0-4 in those contests. The two teams share one common non-conference opponent in Michigan so far this season. UF defeated the Wolverines, 12-11, MU fell, 11-8.
Â
After hosting Marquette, UF will take on two straight road games at Villanova and Cincinnati before returning home for the regular-season finale versus UConn April 24.
