GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Gators and Huskies have set up for a fun Senior Day in Gainesville. Both No. 2 Florida and UConn are an undefeated 6-0 in conference play heading into the BIG EAST finale for both teams at noon Sunday at Donald R. Dizney Lacrosse Stadium.

Not only will the conference regular-season title be up for grabs, but a No. 1 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament is at stake. The Orange and Blue will celebrate their 2016 senior class in a pre-game ceremony slated for approximately 11:40 a.m. prior to opening draw at noon. The Gator seniors have compiled a record of 66-13 (.835) through the past four years, have won a conference championship and competed in the NCAA Tournament every season of their careers so far in Gainesville.

SENIOR DAY PROMOTIONS
Florida has won six straight games entering Sunday's clash, having won three straight at home after its lone hiccup this season to No. 1 Maryland March 19.

UConn embarks on Gainesville with a 12-2 overall record, with slip ups to Syracuse (17-7) and UMass (15-6), but otherwise unscathed on the season. The Huskies have won five straight entering Gainesville after falling to the Orange March 29 in Syracuse.

FLORIDA-UCONN SERIES HISTORYThe Gators and Huskies are meeting for the third time in each program's history after the Gators entered the BIG EAST in 2015. The Huskies won an 11-10 decision in the regular-season game in Storrs, but Florida returned to Storrs and defeated UConn 20-6 for the BE Tournament Title two weeks later. The Huskies will be visiting the Sunshine State to match up with Florida for the first time at The Diz.

Lindsey Ronbeck led UF with six points in UF's
most recent 17-5 win at Cincinnati Wednesday in mid-week action as UF improved to 15-1, 6-0 in league play. Five players had multiple-goal outings as UF put up its second-best offensive output of the season with 17 goals.

After starting the game down 2-0 to the Bearcats, Florida strung together eight and five-goal runs for a 13-3 margin at halftime.

Carly Ross scored her first goal since the Gators' season opener after being sidelined with a wrist injury. Freshman

Ross was Florida's second-leading point scorer Wednesday at Sheakley Athletics Center with four points, including her goal and three assists.
