GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Head Coach Roland Thornqvist of the University of Florida women's tennis team addressed the media on Monday morning at the UF All-Sports Press Conference. Thornqvist recapped the Gators' successful weekend in Baton Rouge, La., where Florida won the 2016 SEC Tournament title.
With three wins this weekend over LSU, Auburn and Georgia, Florida is on a 16 match winning streak, since beginning conference play in early March. The Gators captured the program's 20th tournament title and the 10th of Thornqvist's tenure. The Gators will now have three weeks to prepare for the NCAA Tournament, which commences on Thursday, May 12th.
