The top 12 individuals and relays from each regional meet advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Complete men's and women's entry listings for the NCAA Outdoor Championships were released on Thursday (May 19) afternoon, with the University of Florida track and field program combining for 46 entries for next weekend's (May 26-28) East Preliminary meet.
The top 48 individual and top 24 relay declarations within the East Region and West Region earned berths to their respective preliminary meet.
The top 12 individuals and 12 relays from each regional competition will advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., slated for June 8-11.
Florida's men, currently No. 3 in the USTFCCCA National Team Rankings, boast 21 entries, while its seventh-ranked women own 25 entries.
Of those 21 men's entries, nine are ranked fifth or higher within the East, including Arman Hall's and Eric Futch's region-leading times in the 400 meters (45.17) and 400-meter hurdles (49.24), respectively. The women carry six top-five times and marks into regional competition, headlined by the collegiate-leading 4x400-meter relay team of Robin Reynolds, Kyra Jefferson, Sharrika Barnett, and Claudia Francis.
Competition at the East Preliminary, hosted by the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, will begin at 12 p.m. ET on Thursday (May 26) and Friday (May 27).
