ESPN Film on Gators' Back-to-Back Champs to Air Sept. 13

It's called "SEC Storied: Repeat After Us"
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The University of Florida is bringing back Billy Donovan's 2006 and '07 national championship teams for a reunion weekend this fall, with a Sept. 10 salute to the coaches and players scheduled for Sept. 10 during the football game against Kentucky.
That much we already knew.
But if UF fans fail to get their nostalgia fix from those couple days, the SEC Network will join in the salute Sept. 13 when it premiers "SEC Storied: Repeat After Us," a new ESPN film from Emmy Award-winning director Jonathan Hock focusing on that incomparable starting five — Joakim Noah, Al Horford, Corey Brewer, Taurean Green and Lee Humphrey — that made history with those back-to-back NCAA crowns.
A short clip of the 60-minute feature was aired during Tuesday's 2016 SEC Football Media Days session in Hoover, Ala., while the network made official its premier date with the following release.
"The likes of Florida's 2006, 2007 back-to-back National Championships may never be seen again. A starting line-up of college basketball players having cut down the nets and facing multi-million dollar opportunities in the NBA, decide all together to turn down the money and return to school for the chance to win it again. Joakim Noah, Al Horford, Corey Brewer, Taurean Green, and Lee Humphrey, led by head coach Billy Donovan learned togetherness, loyalty, and how to deliver a championship when a championship is expected. Emmy Award winning director Jonathan Hock directs the story of this team who became the first, and possibly last, college team to repeat national championship wins with the same starting lineup."
The feature on the Gators will be one of two to make a debut in fall. The network also is rolling out "SEC Storied: No Experience Required," a film about Texas A&M's 12th man legacy, including Coach Jackie Sherrill staging of tryouts in 1983 to field a kickoff team made entirely of non-scholarship members of the student body. The A&M film will air Sept. 6.
