Florida Women Move Up, Men Hold Steady in National Rankings

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – In the first CSCAA/TYR top-25 swimming & diving poll of the new year, which was released Wednesday, Florida stayed steady in its placements.
The men's team remained in the No. 10 spot, receiving 147 points, while the women moved up a spot to No. 20, receiving 59 points.
Since the last poll on Dec. 6, Florida completed holiday training and traveled to south Florida for meets at Florida Atlantic and Miami (FL) on Jan. 6 and 7. The women swept both meets 155-79 and 180-115 respectively, while the men defeated FAU 152-83.
The Gators travel to their penultimate SEC and regular season meet at No. 6/11 Auburn on Saturday, Jan. 21. The following weekend, Florida will return home for the first time this season to face No. 20/15 Tennessee and honor its seniors.
The next polls will be published on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
