
Gators No. 3 in Baseball America Preseason Poll

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators were ranked No. 3 in Baseball America's Preseason Poll released on Monday. Previously, UF had been tabbed No. 2 by D1Baseball.com, No. 3 by Collegiate Baseball and No. 4 by Perfect Game.
Florida has been ranked in Baseball America's Preseason Top 25 for eight straight years under head coach Kevin O'Sullivan, including six times in the Top 10.
The Gators are one of four Southeastern Conference schools in the top 11, joining No. 4 LSU, No. 5 South Carolina and No. 11 Vanderbilt.
The Gators open the 2017 season on Feb. 17 against William and Mary at McKethan Stadium. Season tickets and Mini Plans for the 2017 Gator Baseball season are on sale now and can be purchased online through FloridaGators.com or by calling the Gator Ticket Office at 1-800-34-GATOR from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Last season, UF went 52-16 and ranked fifth in the final Baseball America Top 25 poll. After losing eight players to the 2016 MLB Draft, the Gators squad is bolstered this spring by 13 newcomers.
