Five Gators Named to 2017 USWNT Roster

Oklahoma City – ASA/USA Softball announced today that the pitching duo of senior Delanie Gourley and sophomore Kelly Barnhill, along with three other former University of Florida softball players, were selected to be a part of the 20-player 2017 USA Softball Women's National Team.
The Women's National Team Selection Committee (WNTSC) also tapped three Gator Greats in catcher Aubree Munro (2016), infielder Kelsey Stewart (2016) and outfielder Michelle Moultrie (2012) to round out the Gators representation on the roster for this year's cycle.
It is the second consecutive year that all five have made the USWNT roster with the longest tenured being Moultrie (2011-17), who will be making her seventh straight roster appearance. Stewart (2014-17) is next in line as she will serve her fourth stint on the national team while Gourley, Barnhill and Munro all make their second overall appearance.
The USWNT reports to training camp in June and is scheduled to compete at the World Cup of Softball XII July 4-9, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Included in the team's competitive schedule is the Pan American Games/World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) World Championship Qualifier.
The five Florida representatives on the roster this season is once again the most amongst any collegiate program in the country.
