Trio of Gators on All-Southeast Region Teams

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A trio of Gators are 2017 United Soccer Coaches Association All-Southeast Region team members. There is a Gator on each All-Southeast Region team – Gabby Seiler (first team), Deanne Rose (second) and Parker Roberts (third).

The same three players earned 2017 All-Southeastern Conference first-team honors.

Seiler is a repeat all-region first team selection, as she was on the 2016 team and the 2014 team while with the University of Georgia.

Here's a look at the season notes for Florida's 2017 All-Southeast Region recipients:

First team:
Midfielder – Gabby Seiler:

All-SEC first team for third time (2016 and 2017 with Florida; 2014 with Georgia)

Led UF with eight assists and second in goals (6) and points (20)
Fourth on team with average of 84.3 minutes per match
Tied for third in SEC for assists (8) and ninth in points (20) for all matches played
Scored a goal in five of 10 matches – first Gator since 2015 to score in four consecutive matches
SEC Offensive and Top Drawer Soccer National Player of Week after scoring tying goal versus then No. T-1 Stanford and first goal in 2-1 win versus Syracuse
Called into three 2017 U.S. Under-23 National Team camps – Jan. 6-13 (California), March 26-April 1 (Portland) and July 21-28 (Seattle)

Started every match of season, playing entirety of 13 matches
