
Five Former Gators to Compete in Final Stage of LPGA Qualifying

Grassel, Piccio, Torres, Vlckova and Wagner set to start tomorrow in Daytona
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Five former Gators women's golfers are set to take part in the final stage of LPGA Qualifying School this week.
Mia Piccio, Kelly Grassel, Maria Torres, Karolina Vlckova and Sam Wagner all qualified after finishing in the top 80 of Stage II back in October.
Stage III of qualifying will take place at LPGA International in Daytona Beach, Fla. with the field of 166 total players will competing for 20 LPGA cards on the Jones and Hills courses.
After 72 holes, the field will be cut to the top 70 players and ties. Those making the 72-hole cut will be re-paired for the final round, which will be played on the Hills Course.
Those who finish in places 21-45, and players tied for 45th, earn conditional LPGA status for 2018 with the additional players earning Symetra Tour cards.
