Gators find success, advance to three title matches Sunday

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. – At both the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Fall National Championships and the Dick Vitale Invitational the Gators regrouped to find success, advancing to two doubles finals and a singles final on Sunday.

The only duo left for the Gators at the ITA Fall National Championships was also the last pair to gain entry. On the day that final qualifiers were announced, it was Chase Perez-Blanco and Oliver Crawford that waited in anticipation to find out their fate. As the clock was nearing zero Florida got the call that the duo was in.

Perez-Blanco and Crawford first played together just a few weeks ago at the ITA Regional Championship, gelling one match at a time on their way to the Regional Finals. After dropping their opening round match in the ITA Fall Championships, the dup is gelling once again.

On Saturday Perez-Blanco and Crawford took on Runhao Hua and Alex Knight of the University of Michigan. On the line was a chance to reach the consolation doubles finals that take place on Sunday. The pair competed all match and looked as if they were on a mission, walking away with a victory by scores of 6-3, 6-4.
