TULSA, Okla. – Five Gators travel to Tulsa, Okla. to compete in the ITA All-American Championships. Jeremy Jin, Andreas Timini, Kevin Edengren, Henry Jefferson and Tanapatt Nirundorn are all making the trek to the University of Tulsa.
The ITA All-American Championships will be hosted by the Golden Hurricanes at their Michael D. Case Tennis Center with some matches also being played at the LaFortune Park Tennis Center. The only Gator to ever win the tournament being Ben Shelton in 2021. This year's tournament will take place Sept. 20-28, 2025.
The singles and doubles tournament are both broken down into three draws to accommodate all of the different players from schools across the country. The tree draws are Pre-Qualifying, Qualifying and Main. Players who begin in Pre-Qualifying have a chance to continue to compete in both the Qualifying and Main draws as long as they continue to win.
Timini, Edengren, Jefferson and Nirundorn are all participating in the Pre-Qualifying singles draw, with the first set of matches taking place on Saturday, Sept. 20. Nirundorn and Jefferson have their first match at 10 a.m. EST, Edengren will play at 12 p.m. EST and Timini will face off against his opponent at 1:30 p.m. EST. Meanwhile, Jin will begin his tournament on Wednesday, Sept. 24 in the singles Main draw after being ranked preseason No. 45 by the ITA. Timini also starts his collegiate career ranked at No. 9 for the newcomers by the ITA.
For the doubles portion of the tournament, the duo of Jefferson and Nirundorn will begin their competition in the Qualifying draw on Monday, Sept. 22, with a potential to be placed into the Main draw if a team in that group were to withdraw from the tournament. Like Jin and Timini, the pair was awarded a preseason ranking of No. 33 by the ITA after their performance on the court last year.
The tournament match ups will be released on the tournament's home page by the end of the day.Â
