Palm Desert, CA/Bradenton, FL – UF seniors Anna Danilina and Josie Kuhlman both won their respective singles matches and capped the fall season with singles titles on Sunday.
 
Danilina was the No. 1 overall seed at the inaugural Oracle ITA National Fall Championships at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa and the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and was tripped up in the first round.
 
She made the most of her second chance in the consolation draw by completing the national event with a thrilling, three-hour, come-from-behind victory in the final against California's Anna Bright, 5-7, 7-6 (3), 7-5.
 
Danilina was down a set and 4-1 in the second before staging a remarkable rally to win her second singles title of the fall season.
 
Kuhlman's match didn't have anywhere near the dramatics as Danilina's, as she completed an impressive five-match run to capture the crown at the Lakewood Ranch Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic.
 
Every match was a straight-set decision for Kuhlman en route to the title, as she defeated UCF's Monica Matias in the final, 6-2, 6-3.
 
UF Associate Head Coach Dave Balogh on Danilina's performance:
"What an incredible turnaround from four days ago when we started the tournament. Anna got better every day and played her best today.
 
"She handled her emotions and frustrations way better the last few days. I'm very proud of her and her ability to turn this around and get her game back during the final and throughout the consolation draw."
 
 
What's Next

• This weekend's events were the final tournaments of the fall season.
• The Gators return to competition for the UNLV Invite, January 12-15, 2018. That is the last individual tournament until the season-ending NCAA Championships.
• UF opens dual match play on Jan. 27, playing host to the ITA Kick-Off Weekend.
