
Diving Wraps Up Competition at Auburn Diving Invite

Emma Whitner and Dalton Goss finish eighth and ninth in platform
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators' diving squad finished the Auburn Diving Invitational on Tuesday, with the women claiming a third-place finish.
The men finished in fourth place in a field consisting of three other ranked opponents.
Emma Whitner led the women on the platform, recording a score of 205.50 to finish eighth overall. Brianna Felegi and Boni Trinter finished the final day of the meet in 11th and 12th place, respectively.
Felegi recorded a mark of 194.00 while Trinter finished the day with a score of 149.85.
On the men's side, Dalton Goss finished ninth with a score of 267.90. Sophomore Alex Farrow followed in 13th place, recording a score of 234.45.
The Gators have wrapped up competition for 2017 and return to the Stephen C. O'Connell Center on Jan. 5 to face Florida State at 5 p.m.

- "Even though I think we can dive much better than we did today, I think how we respond and learn from this meet will determine how successful meet was for us. We continued to train and make changes throughout the competition and our focus remains on the SEC and NCAA Championships.
