University of Florida Athletics Seeks Fundraising Support via New Initiative
A championship experience.
At the University of Florida Athletic Association and Gator Boosters, Inc. the experience for our fans and student-athletes is a top priority, so much so, that our strategic purpose is to provide a "Championship Experience with Integrity for our Student-Athletes and Fans."
So today, Gator Boosters, Inc. is launching the "Game Changer Initiative" to help fund this "championship experience" for our student-athletes and fans.
"We are fortunate at the University of Florida to have donors and fans committed to the program that have helped us build one of the top athletic programs in the nation," said UF Director of Athletics Scott Stricklin. "We are also fortunate that we have people that want us to continue to improve. We inspire all of our student-athletes to be game changers on the field, in the classroom and in life. Just as we ask them to give their all, we are now asking the Gator Nation to be game changers for our athletic program and help us provide a 'Championship Experience' for our student-athletes and fans."
A big part of that experience for our athletes is the facilities they train in and for the fans, it's the stadiums they watch games in.
We have just finished $106 million in facility upgrades over the past 17 months and to further show our commitment to improved shared experiences, we are launching another wave of facility projects totaling $100 million. This includes a stand-alone football complex and renovations to the baseball and softball stadiums. Gator Boosters has established a goal of $50 million in private support to fund these critical projects.
The Game Changer Initiative offers multiple options for donors to participate, with gifts of any size.
