Ten Gators either made their collegiate debuts or ran their first outdoor collegiate races Saturday
ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida freshman Hannah Brookover made her outdoor debut with the No. 10-ranked 3,000-meter steeplechase time in program history, which highlighted a bundle of solid openers at Saturday's (March 18) Black & Gold Challenge.
Brookover, one of only two freshmen to qualify for the mile final at this year's SEC Indoor Championships, crossed in 10:55.06, taking third place overall.
The men's 800 meters was another highlight for the Gators. Sophomore Jack Guyton, a mile finalist at SEC Indoors, clocked a personal record (1:50.65), and redshirt senior Mac Reynolds was not far behind (1:51.87) in what was the first half-mile race of his career.
