GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Florida women's lacrosse player Lindsey Ronbeck was named the Division I National Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday, as announced by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
The sophomore attacker had a banner week in two games against No. 5 Syracuse and on the road at Connecticut to open BIG EAST play.
Ronbeck set a career high with six goals on just seven shot attempts against the Orange, and added an assist to help Florida's offense score 19 goals, the most allowed by Syracuse this season. Her seven points were a season-high, and tied her career high, which she set in her freshman campaign.

In the Gators' BIG EAST opener at UConn, Ronbeck tallied another seven point outing with five goals and two assists to lead the Orange and Blue to a 20-10 victory. Her two assists against the Huskies were a season-high.
Ronbeck finished the week with 11 goals (13 shots), three assists, seven ground balls, two draw controls, and one caused turnover.
For her efforts, Ronbeck earned BIG EAST Attacker of the Week honors, and was named the ILWomen Alpha Lacrosse National Player of the Week.
