SUNSET, S.C. – The Florida women's golf team is one stroke off the lead after the second round of the Clemson Invitational on Saturday. UF finished the day in a tie for second place at seven-under (569).
The 280 that Florida posted in the second round was the second lowest of the day.
Maria Torres and Taylor Tomlinson led the Gators again, as they each finished the round in a tie for fourth at four-under (140), respectively.
On Saturday, Torres paced the Gators with a bogey-free three-under (69).
Karolina Vlckova also sits inside the top-10 as she is tied for eighth at two-under (142).
Furman's leading the tournament at eight-under (568), and Texas' Sophia Schubert is at the top of the leaderboard at eight-under (136).

"We had a really strong team finish today, and that's a great sign about how we are developing and getting better. We were grinding hard for that team score. I'm proud of them. Tomorrow is going to be really fun."
