Homestand Wraps Up Tuesday With Top 25 Matchup

The Gators will put a nine-game win streak on the line against No. 23 USF at 6:30 p.m. 
The Florida baseball team wraps up a six-game homestand with a Top 25 matchup on Tuesday night at McKethan Stadium.

The Gators will put a nine-game win streak on the line against No. 23 USF at 6:30 p.m. 

Last week, UF went 5-0 with a pair of midweek wins over Florida A&M and Jacksonville before a weekend sweep of Ole Miss.

Florida will start freshman right-hander Garrett Milchin on Tuesday night. Milchin has been a staple out of the bullpen in recent weeks and has a 4-1 record with a 1.85 earned run average.

  • Florida currently has a nine-game win streak, tied for the second-longest streak in the nation. 
  • Florida has gone from worst to first in the span of eight weeks in the SEC. After starting 0-3 in league play, the Gators have gone 16-5 with four-straight series wins to take sole possession of the SEC East lead -- tied with Mississippi State for the overall lead with a 16-8 conference record.
