Five Former Gators Advance in LPGA Qualifying School

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- After four rounds of play, all five Gators advanced to Stage II of LPGA Qualifying School.
Kelly Grassel, Maria Torres, Karolina Vlckova, Sam Wagner and Anna Young all qualified after finishing in the top 90 of Stage I.
Torres was the top Florida qualifier finishing tied for 17th on the leaderboard. She finished with a 72-hole tally of 282 (-6). Torres was as high as tied for 11th as she was seven-under-par through three rounds of play.
The five Gators will be back in Florida for Stage II of qualifying which starts on October 16. The event which will also feature former Gator Mia Piccio will take place at Plantation Golf and Country Club, Venice, Fla.
