OKLAHOMA CITY – Juniors
Kelly Barnhill and
Amanda Lorenz were named to the Top 50 "Watch List" for the 2018 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award Wednesday afternoon.
After having a stellar campaign last season, Barnhill became only the second sophomore ever and second Gator to win the coveted award.
This is Lorenz's first appearance on the Top 50 "Watch List".
Lauren Haeger is the only other Gator to have won the prestigious award. She earned the title in 2015 after leading Florida to the program's second national championship.

Florida starts the 2018 season at the USF Wilson-DeMarini Tournament against Illinois State (Feb. 9) in Tampa, Fla. at 4:45 p.m. The first home game at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium, slated for Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 6 p.m., will be against North Florida.
