Qualifying Singles | Qualifying Doubles
TULSA, Okla. – The ITA All-American Championships continued on Monday as the qualifying draws began. The qualifying draw featured three Gators in the singles and three doubles pairs competing on the third day of competition in Tulsa.
Sophomore
Andy Andrade opened his play at the ITA All-American Championships with a 7-6 (10), 6-2 triumph over Oscar Mesquida of Arkansas. He advanced to the second round of singles qualifying and will face Wake Forest's freshman, Menelaos Efstathiou.
Sophomore
Duarte Vale notched a tough three-set victory (7-5, 3-6, 6-4) over Penn State's Constant De La Bassetierre in the first round of singles qualifying. The Cascais, Portugal, native will now face Florian Broska of Mississippi State, a 2018 SEC All-Freshman selection. Broska advanced with a 6-4, 6-3 win over TCU's Sander Jong.
Senior
McClain Kessler completed the trifecta of singles perfection in the first round of singles qualifying with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Virginia's Ryan Goetz. Kessler will now face Antonio Cembellin of Indiana in the second round.
In doubles, sophomore
Oliver Crawford teamed up with Andrade against Kessler and
Sam Riffice teamed up against San Diego State's Sander Andersen-Ignacio Martinez. The Gators pair cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 first round victory, setting up a second-round match against Texas A&M's tandem of Noach Schachter and Barnaby Smith. The sophomore team continued their journey through the qualifying doubles draw with a 6-3, 6-4 over the Aggies. Crawford and Andrade will compete for one of the main draw qualifying spots against Cal's Jacob Brumm and Yuta Kikuchi.
Kessler and freshman
Sam Riffice downed their first doubles opponent, Bjoern Petersen and Matias Soto of Baylor, 7-5 and 6-3 before falling in the second round to TCU's duo in a three-set battle (6-3, 6-7, 7-10). Vale and freshman
Lukas Greif fell in their first round doubles match to Tomas Vaise and JanSimon Vrbsky of SMU in another tough three-set match (6-4, 5-7, 7-10).

- The final rounds of singles and doubles qualifying will be played Tuesday before an off day on Wednesday prior to singles and doubles main draws starting Thursday.

- "We started great and finished well today. I was impressed with our level in singles today. We played three very good players and I was happy to see us play better as the matches went along."
- "We were a little disappointed with some of our doubles results, but we'll learn and get better. Oliver [Crawford] and Andy [Andrade] finished the night off with one of our better doubles performances."

What's on the Line?
- In addition to vying for the All-American national title, players will be competing to secure a berth to the 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, which takes place Nov. 7-11 in Surprise, Ariz.
- Singles quarterfinalists, consolation singles champion and finalist, along with doubles semifinalists and consolation doubles champion and finalist will advance to the end of fall national championship.
