OXFORD, Miss. – The No. 11 Florida Gators head to Oxford, Miss. to take on Ole Miss on Friday night at 8:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. CT.
Florida has won 13 straight matches and sits atop the SEC with an 8-0 record in conference play. The Rebels currently sit 11th with a league record of 1-6.
UF is ranked second in three different categories on the SEC: hitting efficiency (.266), opponent hitting percentage (.158) and blocks per set (2.60).
The Gators hold the 50-3 series advantage over Ole Miss, including a 44-0 record under head coach Mary Wise.
Florida won the last meeting, 3-0, on Sept. 21, 2018 in Gainesville, Fla. The Gators won the first set, 25-17, took the second set, 25-12, and then clinched the match with a 25-15 victory in the final frame.
Holly Carlton led the offense with an astounding .833 hit clip, racking up 10 kills and no errors. Two other Gator recorded hitting percentages of over .500 while collecting at least five kills – Rachael Kramer (five kills, .625) and Taelor Kellum (six kills, .600).
Allie Monserez led the squad in assists, dishing out 22 during the match, while Marlie Monserez added 10. Allie Gregory led the defensive effort in the backcourt, logging 15 digs.
Rachael Kramer led the defense at the net – registering five blocks.
Florida is looking to go 9-0 in conference play for the 20th time under head coach Mary Wise.
