Thoughts from Assistant Coach Chris Solinsky:
- "Today was a great step forward for UF distance. The ladies continued to execute and show the pay offs of a lot of work. The best part is we weren't perfect. We walk away with areas to work on still and that is great looking forward to regionals and nationals."
- "Jess was great today. She raced with poise and patience and when she decided to move, she did it with confidence. Being an SEC Champion is something special."
- "The men took a conservative approach to the race and moved through the field well. We took a good step forward step and I think we can ride that confidence to regionals, which is a 10k and we are definitely ready for a 10k. Our top 4 really ran tough today and if I can find a 5th guy, we are a good team."
Thoughts from Junior Jessica Pascoe:
- "I'm super proud of the team and how far we have come. I'm excited to see what we can do in the future. Happy to have ticked off one of the goals this season, but it's time to get back to work and get ready for the next one."
