Florida drops four spots to No. 13 in Associated Press Top 25 following Saturday's loss to Georgia.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Gators remained ranked in the top 15 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll following Saturday's loss to now-ranked No. 6 Georgia.
The Gators dropped just four spots in the poll despite its 36-17 loss to the Bulldogs in Jacksonville, Fla. on Saturday. Florida (6-2, 4-2 in the Southeastern Conference) is ranked sixth in this week's poll.
Florida's only two losses this season are to two top-10 teams, as UK is ranked No. 11 in this week's poll.
As seen in the above tweet, Coach Dan Mullen has his program trending in the direction and the team is in the national spotlight as UF heads into the final month of the regular season.
When asked about the team's goals for the remainder of the season, Mullen's answer was simple.
"To be honest with you, everybody asks, what's your goals coming into a season and all that,'' he said. "I have a goal that we get better every game, that we play hard every snap and that we're a much better team at the end of the season than we were before the season. That goal's still ahead of us. That's the only one I have for us."
Florida returns home this weekend to host Missouri for its annual homecoming game. Tickets are still available and fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy an exciting Saturday in The Swamp.
Details for Friday's homecoming parade and Gator Growl will be announced later this week and detailed on FloridaGators.com.
