Gators in the NFL – Week Eight

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A total of 46 Gators were on 25 of the 32 teams, as the NFL season reached the half-way point.

Joe Haden, the ninth-year cornerback, made his fifth consecutive start for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He collected three solo tackles, including two tackles for a loss. Haden added two pass defenses and an interception. His interception came in the second quarter and led to a 16-play drive that resulted in a touchdown right before the half.

The Bills host the Patriots in the Monday night showdown, as two former Florida players appear on rosters. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. Eastern Time.

Arizona Cardinals (Cardinals 18, 49ers 15)
D.J. Humphries – OL – 4th year – Started for the eighth straight week at left tackle.

Atlanta Falcons (Bye Week)
Brian Poole – CB – 3rd year
Keanu Neal – S – 3rd year – (IR)

Carolina Panthers (Panther 36, Ravens 21)
Bryan Cox Jr. – DE – 2nd year – Appeared in the game, but did not record any stats.

Chicago Bears (Bears 24, Jets 10)
Trey Burton – TE – 5th year – Started at tight end for the sixth straight week. Hauled in three passes for 18 yards.
Jonathan Bullard – DE – 3rd year – Recorded one solo tackle.

Carlos Dunlap – DE – 9th year – Started at defensive end for the eighth straight week. Finished with five tackles, four solo. Had a game-high two sacks. Collected three tackles for a loss and three quarterback hits.

Cleveland Browns (Steelers 33, Browns 18)
Antonio Callaway – WR – Rookie – Started at wide receiver for the third straight game. Finished with five receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown.
