Gators Release Depth Chart for Missouri Game
Monday, October 29, 2018 | Football
Florida’s depth chart remains relatively unchanged following last weekend’s contest against Georgia.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators released their depth chart on Monday for their first home game since Oct. 6, as Florida hosts Missouri this Saturday at 4 p.m. inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.
What a difference a year makes, as 365 days ago Florida was in the midst of a coaching search as it entered the final month of the season. In 2018, Florida remains in the top 15 of the Associated Press Top 25 Poll for a fourth straight week, which hasn't happened for the Gators since 2015.
Meanwhile, Coach Dan Mullen, Josh Heupel (No. 9 UCF), Joe Moorhead (No. 21 Miss. State), and Jimbo Fisher (No. 25 Texas A&M) are the only first-year coaches with top-25 teams. In addition, Florida and Syracuse (No. 22) are the only teams in the current AP Top 25 that won less than six games in 2017.
This weekend marks Florida's homecoming weekend, as UF will hold its annual parade on Gale Lemerand Dr. on Friday afternoon and Gator Growl will be on Friday night. The Gators have won two of its last three homecoming games, including a 40-14 rout of Missouri on Oct. 15, 2016.
Additional homecoming details will be announced later this week.
From a roster standpoint, there are no changes to Florida's depth chart this week. Sophomore cornerback C.J. Henderson sustained an injury in last Saturday's game against Georgia but Mullen said at his weekly Monday press conference on Monday that he will be ready to go this week.
