
Gators in the NFL – Week Five

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A total of 46 Gators were on 25 of the 32 teams as the NFL started the fifth week of the season.
Marcus Maye, the second-year safety, started for the second straight week at free safety. He finished second on the team with eight total tackles, six solo. Maye produced 0.5 sacks for a 3-yard loss and added an interception, pass defense and a forced fumble. On the last play of the game, Maye intercepted a Case Keenum pass in the end zone and returned it 104 yards, before he was tackled inside the 1 yard line.
The Saints host the Redskins in the Monday night showdown, as six former Florida players appear on rosters. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. Eastern Time.
